Having Multiple DJ Cases

May 14th, 2012 | Posted by ChristineM in SBH Corp - (0 Comments)

DJ cases are important in protecting your gear, that’s a given. Not only that, but they give you the ability to travel with ease. But you won’t always need the same items for every show or trip to the studio and you might not want to lug a huge case with only a couple of different pieces in it. Having multiple DJ cases may be a good option if you find yourself traveling a lot and with a variety of your gear.

Not only is it a great way to switch things around and make it easier to carrier smaller (or larger) groups of items, but it is also good to have back ups. You never know what may happen to a case; it could get damaged or lost, or end up wearing itself down enough that you’ll need a new one. And you can’t afford to wait until another one is shipped to you, you’ll want a second one immediately to be on your way to the next gig.

Now is the time to prepare for those moments. Check out the variety of DJ cases available at SBH Corp. They provide all sorts of models to suit your needs.

You’ve got all this great gear to set up your DJ equipment but the problem is, it’s all over the place. You need the right set up to really get everything together. It’s not just about storage at home but keeping things organized when you are playing a gig or on the road.  You’ve got to invest in the right DJ accessories to put together a great system that you can access readily.

A rack is a must. You’ve got to have a multi-layered rack to keep all of your things, from processors to your turntable. Adding rack drawers can be a great way to save space. Pull them out and there’s your stuff, but when you don’t want to stare at it, you can just push the drawers in and be done with it.

Cases are a great way to organize and store things as well, especially when it is parts you are not currently using in your set up. You might find that you swap out different piece of equipment often, so why not have a place to store them and keep them from being an eyesore in the mean time? Organizational DJ accessories are really going to help you out in the long run.

Having the right DJ set-up is all about the right equipment. And it isn’t just about speakers, turntables and headphones, though these are all important aspects to creating a  great system and putting on a perfect set. But signal processors are a major part of your whole set up.

Signal processors are simple a device that processes signals containing information. In your case, this is audio information. In the world of digital audio, they can come in the form of software or hardware and use either an analog or digital audio signal.  Amplifiers, equalizers, crossovers, these all fall under the category of processors.

Signal processors can work with so many different kinds of set ups nowadays, it is pretty impressive. There are processors that even iPhones can be connected to. The world of technology has really come far in the past few years alone, expanding the world of DJing vastly.

No matter what set up you are going for, SBH Corp has an entire selection of processors that will work for you. Everyone has a different preference for how they want to set up, equipment wise, but they’ve got you covered so every bit of audio will come out sounding crisp.

After all, you really want to blow the couple away and give them the kind of experience they’ve paid for. So if you feel like you need to get replacement subwoofers and a new microphone or two, now is the time to put in that investment.

After all, one great gig can lead to even more being booked up. The best kind of promotion is word of mouth and a customer’s experience. If you are looking for more and more weddings to play, you need to be prepared with the best gear.

You may find with your current audio system that the sound just isn’t up to snuff. If you feel like it isn’t been carried the way it should, or that the volume isn’t reaching  the same levels it used to, you may want to consider getting replacement subwoofers. Subwoofers work as the perfect sound reinforcement, taking your output and multiplying it tenfold so that everyone in a large area can hear clearly.

Of course, with great power comes great responsibility. Meaning you need to fine tune the volume and the settings of your subwoofers before using them in public for the first time. This will not only avoid any problems during a performance, but it will also let you make sure you’ve got everything set the right way to avoid blowing subwoofers out. It’s always good to set up at the chosen venue and have a full test of the system, especially if you’ve never set up there before.

Replacement subwoofers may be just what your system needs if you feel your old ones are dying or you just need the upgrade to deal with bigger spaces. At SBH Corp, you can find the subwoofers you need along with other audio needs.

After all, the right sound and the right fit truly matter to create a positive experience the next time you are DJing. The choice of headphones, of course, is all up to you. What works well for one person may not be the proper choice for another. That’s not to say you shouldn’t listen to your fellow DJs’ recommendations, but it’s important you try out some headphones for yourself.

You want to make sure that the fit is right, or that it can be adjusted properly to create the right fit. You want your ears to be comfortably padded, not crushed. And then there’s the sound. Everyone has a different idea of what they are looking for with sound, but you want something that is overall crisp and clear. If your music is all about bass, it’s got to really ring true through your headphones. If you need to hear every single beat on the drums, then make sure it come through properly.

When you look at DJ accessories, speakers is probably the best item to invest your money into first. You may already have speakers for your setup, but upgrading to a heavy duty pair can be exactly what your entire set needs. Not only are they going to last all of the wear and tear of traveling around to do a variety of shows, but they are going to sound better overall.

When you look at DJ speakers to add to your DJ accessories arsenal, you need to look at a few things. First, you want to see how well the sound is, especially the bass. Often bass can get lost in a pair of not so great speakers and when you are a DJ, you know that’s what it is to get everybody up and dance.

You also want to see how easy it’ll be to hook up and take down. Often, being able to set up quickly is key and you want to make sure everything is easy to follow and fits perfectly with your other gear.

Also, keep an eye on frequency and sensitivity. All models of speakers should have these numbers readily available for you to compare when shopping.

DJ Cases and Materials

Looking at new DJ cases for your gear can be exciting, but you have to really take into account the materials that it is made out of. There’s a lot to choose from, a higher quality materials mean more money will be spent, but in the long run it could be a good investment.

Plastic and nylon DJ cases are the most common because they are cheap but reasonably durable. The plastic it is made of is a hard plastic, one that shouldn’t crack if dropped. Still, there’s always the chance you can run into some problems with these, so it is good to put lower end equipment in here, just in case.

If you want to be really fancy and protect your more expensive equipment, a wooden case is a great way to go. It’s more expensive, but wood can really hold together well. It also just looks very cool and will make you stand out when you travel to your next gig. It’s more heavy duty overall and will withstand more wear and tear, so if you are taking your gear out a lot, than this may be the route to go.

Whichever you choose, make sure the inside of your cases are lined properly with felt, to keep everything safe and avoid scratches.

Your subwoofers have been sounding a little off lately.  There’s been a weird crackling when you listen to your music. At first it was faint and you thought it was just you. But now it’s becoming more and more apparent. It may be time to look into replacement subwoofers. After all, you’ve always wanted the best experience when listening to your music. Why sacrifice it now? Upgrading can be really easy.

When you look for replacement subwoofers, think about where you are playing your music. Is it just for home use for your own enjoyment or when you have friends over? Or are you using them in combination with a system that will be played in a public place? Maybe you own a restaurant, a bar, a karaoke place and need replacements so that your customers get great sound. Consider the room you are putting your system in and how well it will cover the space. And always take into consideration the acoustics.

You don’t have to worry about price too much if you take a look at SBH Corp’s selection. Because you’ll be getting great deals from experts who really know their equipment.  And you won’t be paying overpriced amounts either!

So you’ve got your set list down, your turntables, your audio setup exactly as it needs to be. But now you are ready to add something a little bit more flashy and fun to your set. When it comes to DJ accessories, some of the coolest you can pick up are effect lights. These are great when you know you are going to play clubs and other dark venues that will let you make use of your own lighting.
Effect lights come in so many varieties, it may be hard to choose exactly what you want. But it should be all about what you really enjoy and what you think your audience will enjoy as well. You can go from the more typical choices like strobe lights or alternating colored lights, to something more complicated like a board that can program different light effects that work with your music. You can create a different sequence for each track you spin.
Lights can completely change the feel of your performance, the atmosphere of the venue, and can win over a lot of people. A great light show is the epitome of major electronic stars and only further enhance the impact you can make with DJ accessories.
